SpendCopilot support

How can we help?

SpendCopilot is not publicly available yet, so there is no in-app help centre to point you at. Until launch, one person reads every message — and that stays true afterwards. For what is and isn't built today, see the product page.

Email us.

Questions, bug reports, privacy requests, or anything you'd like the product to do. Include your device and iOS version if it's a bug, and we'll come back to you.

Common questions

The things people ask first.

When can I get it?

There's no public release date yet, and we won't invent one. Leave your email and you'll get a single message when SpendCopilot is available. No newsletter, no drip campaign.

How do I sign in?

With a passkey, using Face ID or Touch ID. There is no password to create, remember or reset — which also means there's no password for anyone to steal. Only the passkey's public key is stored on our side.

How are my bank accounts connected?

Through Plaid. Your bank login happens inside Plaid's own flow and we never see it. Transactions are fetched on demand and passed straight through to your device — the backend stores no transactions, balances or account numbers.

A bank connection stopped working.

Institutions periodically require you to re-authorize. The in-app reconnect flow is part of the Plaid production work currently in progress. If a connection keeps dropping, email us with the institution name and we'll look at it from our side.

Why doesn't a bank amount match what I logged?

That's expected. Amounts move between authorization and posting — a $155.16 report can post at $155.17. SpendCopilot treats both as one purchase and counts it once. You can review the evidence for any match, and unmatch it if we got it wrong.

A transaction landed on the wrong date.

The bank's posting date isn't always the day you spent the money. SpendCopilot keeps the purchase date, the posting date and your budget date separately, so you can correct the budget date without rewriting the bank's record.

Can I connect more than one bank?

Not in the first release — it connects one institution. Broader account coverage is planned, not built.

How do I disconnect a bank?

Removing a single institution on its own isn't built yet. Deleting your account revokes the Plaid connection at Plaid and erases everything tied to it. If you need one connection removed before that control ships, email us.

How do I delete my account and data?

Deletion erases every record tied to your account across all tables and revokes your Plaid connection at Plaid. You get a deletion receipt; only a de-identified hash is kept, to prove the deletion happened. The backend endpoint is live; the in-app control ships with the app, and until then you can ask us to run it. The detail is in the privacy policy.

SpendCopilot is not financial advice

SpendCopilot describes your financial position and makes tradeoffs visible. It doesn't tell you what you ought to do with your money, and it isn't a substitute for professional financial, tax or legal advice. The decision stays yours.
